Toledo Blade Likely To Be A Pulitzer Finalist In "Public Service"

(Toledo, OH) Editor and Publisher is predicitng that the Toledo Blade's Coingate series will likely be moved from the "Investigative" to the "Public Serice" category in its chase for another Pulitzer Prize.

If E&P's stellar track record of prognostication is correst, the Blade will be up against The Washington Post for a series on terrorism and The Sun-Herald of Biloxi, Mississippifor its Hurricane Katrina coverage.

The 2006 Pulitzer Prizewinners and nominated Finalists will be announced on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.

The Pulitzer Prizes are awarded at a ceremony in May, about one month after the names of the winners have been announced. The event is held at Low Library on the Columbia University campus.

Regardless, kudos to those responsible, they deserve it!
