Moving away from the literary and historical quotes today; if you are unfamiliar with the song it is on the Born to Run LP.

Remember all the movies, Terry, we'd go see
Trying to learn how to walk like the heroes we thought we had to be
Well after all this time to find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park and forced to confess to
Hiding on the backstreets.

-- Bruce Springsteen, "Backstreets"

One of my favorite Springsteen songs.

Makes me homesick.

Yep, one of mine, too.

While Bruce is timeless, I'll bet a song like "Backstreets" doesn't work as well in Prague, although the sentiments are universal.

After reading the "Born to Run" and your quote, the lines "Baby we were born to ruuuuunnnn. Tramps like us, baby we born to ruuuunnnnnnnn." keeps going through my head.

Thanks, Mike!
