Too many things all at the same time and each one is fascinating. How do we get anything done?
I'm 56 and I still can't figure that one out!

I sit just a few blocks north of Chicago's Humboldt Park...don't know that I've ever seen a quote of this fellows, though I do like the statue the Chicago Park District has up in his honor.

As a dilettante I take comfort in this quote -- so many fascinating aspects of this life we lead. I'm always pulled in multiple directions.

Moving to the Glass City in '07 ... mayhaps our paths shall cross.

Right, right...Alexander van Humboldt was one of J.S. Mill's greatest influences.
