Mike, I hope you and your family are home cozily enjoying the holiday!

I enjoyed the holiday in my own special way, chopping wood, walking the dog and taking care of my neighbors ponies and cats while they are away.
I made my dessert extravaganza yesterday, we have some friends coming over in a few hours, the tree is lit with purple lights and I will be forced to speak french for five or so hours, mais, je toujour parle plus meilleur francais apres le deuxieme verre d'apero!
Joyeux Noel, tout le monde!

Merry Christmas, etc. to you, Historymike!

Since Microdot told us of his holiday, I'll tell you about mine.

We had 11 for dinner tonight and the daughter in law did most of the work which I actually think she enjoys --she is so gifted for it--and the other daughters and sons helped. for days I have been emptying boxes of mail and sorting to get my family room cleared --and then wrapping and bagging gifts like crazy--I did a little online buying and my husband is like a man on a mission everyyear, armed with lists and loving to shop --a man on a hunt.

We started the holiday last night at church, making music, and then my married daughter had all 11 of us at her house for caroling her neighbors followed by sandwiches she made from frozen Thanksgiving turkey leftovers --delicious. These young gals are more domestic than I ever was. And I am the blessed beneficiary!

Hope you all had a good time!

And barbs buddy, kooz, has officially started his "reign of terror" on Mudrakes blog. I'm really impressed by the caliber of his writing and razor sharp wit.
Check it out!
