Unusual Tomato

Share
My daughter picked this tomato with a nose-shaped appendage this morning from our gardens. While not as exciting as, say, finding a grilled cheese sandwich with a likeness of the Virgin Mary, nonetheless this deformed vegetable provided a few minutes worth of mirth at Château Brooks.

One family member suggested the tomato bears the likeness of actor Karl Malden, but I think that the Muppet Show character Beaker is a closer match. Feel free to offer your analysis in the Comments section as to the significance of this strange example of Solanum lycopersicum, especially any commercial potential this specimen might hold.

Any offers need to be forwarded quickly, as the tomato will otherwise wind up in a Bolognese sauce.

Mike, do you have any recommendations for folks who want to garden for the 1st time?

Mike, as a parent now is the time to inform your daughter that it does not resemble a nose but another part of the anatomy.

You can't be too careful, I think that NASA has to be consulted as perhaps this is evidence of an alien life form.
Have you tried communicating with it yet?

anonymous #2, are you suggesting that Mikes tomato patch is perhaps a den of salacious iniquity harboring lacivious and licentious legumes! Yes, perhaps we need to have Sarah Palin come and have a closer look and censor these vegetables of veritable vice!

Pistol-packing Palin would probably shoot first and ask questions later, which would leave poor Mike and family homeless and dependent on the big bad government. Of course, he could then move to Alaska where the living is easy and the fish are a jumpin'...and them frozen cotton-pickers ain't uppity.
