My workload this semester is consuming almost every waking moment, and I apologize for being less than conversational of late. I expect another week or so of intensity before I begin to see any sort of reduction in the amount of work before me, so if you are wondering where the heck I have been (or will be) then you have your answer. In the meantime, be sure to donate a few bucks to those in need in Japan after last Friday's mega-quake. The American Red Cross is accepting donations on its Web site and via text message. To make a $10 donation to the group using a mobile phone, text REDCROSS to 90999.

Always look forward to your blog posts Mike! Will patiently wait!
trying again with complete link:
I have to admit I was a little puzzled as to why the American Red Cross was soliciting donations for Japan but I assumed they knew what they were going. Perhaps a 9% administration fee seems reasonable, I don't know, but I think there are charities out there that aren't taking that big of a piece of the pie off the top.
Not that I have much to give anyhow but I'm going to wait until dust settles to decide where to give.

Sorry, didn't know you were ill Mike; hope you make a speedy recovery and will soon return!
Yeah, fighting a bunch of kidney stones right now. It has been a lousy month, and unfortunately I have to wait another week or more to get some relief via surgery,
